Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in various surgical specialties to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.

Shift Details
  • Schedule: Wednesday to Friday, 11 AM - 11 PM
  • Call Shifts: 5-6 per month, options for call include 11 PM - 7 AM (Monday to Thursday) or 7 PM - 7 AM (Sunday night).
Unit Information
  • Location: Plano, TX
  • Number of Beds: 23
  • Number of Staff: 85+
Staffing Structure
  • Day Shift: Charge nurses, coordinators, nurse managers, transport staff, RNs, Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), and Operating Room Assistants.
  • Night Shift: Charge nurse, 2 RNs, 2 CSTs, anesthesia tech, and Operating Room Assistants.
  • Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 1 patient.
Required Qualifications
  • Must Have:
    • Experience in Orthopedics
    • Neuro/Spine expertise
    • Robotics skills
    • Experience in Plastics
    • Trauma experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience in related fields may be considered an asset.

  • Orthopedic procedures including trauma, total joint surgeries, and revisions
