Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Multiple dayshift options available (36 or 40hour fulltime schedules)

Operating Room Highlights:

  • Texas Health Dallas features 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, and 3 Robot rooms
  • Highvolume service lines including Robotics, Urology, Plastics, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro/Spine, Bariatric, and General Surgery
  • Level I Trauma facility with a strong minimally invasive CV program
  • Fastpaced environment with opportunities for education, growth, and career advancement
 Current Operating Room Openings (FullTime)

         Certified Surgical Technologists (CST & CST Specialist)

         SignOn Bonus Available for CSTs

  • CVOR | Neuro | General Surgery | Robotics | Urology | Plastics
  • Day & Evening shifts available
  • 36 and 40hour schedules

         Registered Nurses (RN - Operating Room)

  • CVOR | General Surgery
  • OR Service Line Specialist II
  • RN Supervisor (Neuro, OMFS, ENT, Ophthalmology)
  • Day shift | 40 hours

Here's What You Need

Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Required)
  • BSN (Preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN Residency Program (Required)
  • Operating Room experience in CVOR or Operating Room Specialty (Preferred)
  • RN license upon hire (Required)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Preferred upon hire)

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent and:
    • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program OR
    • Employed as a Surgical Technologist prior to September 1, 2009 OR
    • Graduate/completion of a military Surgical Technology program
  • CST Specialist - Minimum 2 years recent surgical service experience, preferably robotics, cardiovascular/hearts, orthopedics, neurology (Required)
  • CST - 1 year of CST Operating room experience
  • CST Certification (NBSTSA) or TSC (NCCT) (Required)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • LVN license accepted in alignment with Surgical Technology qualifications

 

What You Will Do

RN - Operating Room

  • Deliver patientcentered care utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Perform OR circulator duties and assessments
  • Plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical experience
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical staff to ensure safe outcomes

CST - Operating Room

  • Assist the RN circulator in formulating and implementing the plan of care
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain the sterile field
  • Assist with perioperative care for infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Ensure proper instrumentation and supplies are available for procedures
