Job description

Village Caregiving's Pittsburgh Office is seeking Home Health Aides and In-Home Caregivers to join our team in the Beaver County area. Village Caregiving is a nonmedical home care agency that assists the elderly population with activities of daily living from the safety of their homes. The Home Health Aide is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. Experience is great, but not required to apply for this position. We offer immediate workflexible schedules and competitive pay ranging from $13-$16 based on experience. Part-time hours available with the ability to build up to full-time if desired.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Personal Care – Assistance with activities of daily living including tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral care, and feeding. Physical tasks such as assistance with transfers and ambulation may be required; however, we work closely with our caregivers to match them with the correct client for their skill set.
  • Home assistance – Provide assistance with light housekeeping and general tidying up of client's environment. This includes tasks such as laundry, linen changes, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and washing dishes.
  • Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.  Safety supervision is also an integral part of the care we provide.
