Job description

Position Overview A Material Handler II operates various Light Industrial vehicles and/or RF devices to perform material handling assignments such as picking bulk orders, loading/unloading, and shipping/receiving of merchandise. Essential Job FunctionsOperate powered light industrial trucks to move product to and from designated areas in the warehouseFollow daily procedures & protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.Review orders and place them within the appropriate areas as directed by the vehicle mounted computer manifest.Conduct preventative maintenance checks before each use and fill out the inspection card.Perform general housekeeping duties i.e. removal of empty skids and stacking thereof in designated area.At the end of the day return equipment to correct charging station and prepare for daily overnight charge.Follow all safety regulations required by OSHA and Company.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation: High School or equivalent Experience: 1 -4 years experience operating Light Industrial equipment.Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Certification on: Electric Jack, sitdown forklift, and/or Order Picker and/or Reach

Experience with WMS a plus. Working Conditions: Distribution Center. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, pull and push for extended periods.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Other Skills/Abilities: Ability to satisfactorily complete Equipment driving training program. Must be able to listen and communicate effectively and have the ability to follow specific instructions.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
