Job description

Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) is hiring a Registered Medication Technician to join our Community Springs Long Term Care Facility in El Dorado Springs, Missouri- someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.
Position Details
  • Status: Full time, Part time and PRN (Per Requested Need).
  • Work Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights or even Rotating
  • Hours: Varies upon shift
  • Shift Differential $1- $3 additional depending on shift.

What Your Day Looks Like:A typical day will include knowing and applying current nursing theory, principles of treatment, and nursing procedures in the care of residents.
As a Registered Medication Technician, you will be:
  • Preparing, administrating, and documenting medications by all routes except by those by parenteral routes.
  • Utilizing reference materials associated with medication administration to identify side effects, interactions, and nursing implications of medications in the facility.
  • Identifying medication errors, complete event reporting, and reporting to charge nurse for follow up action.
  • Willing to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant from time to time as needed.

Qualifications:
Education:High School Diploma (preferred).
Experience: Preferred to have worked as a RMT within the last six months.
Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.
Licensure/Certification: Current Certified Nurse Assistant Certification/ Licensure AND Certified/ Registered Medication Technician Licensure, attend and pass CNA course with 4 months of employment, BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
