Anivas Tech is seeking a RH/OpenShift SRE to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 3+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.

Requirements:
  • Operate, maintain, and improve Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters supporting government agency workloads
  • Apply SRE principles including SLO/SLA definition, error budgets, and reliability engineering practices to OpenShift environments
  • Respond to and lead incident management for container platform and application-layer issues, driving timely resolution
  • Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Helm, Operators, and scripting to reduce toil and improve platform consistency
  • Perform OpenShift cluster upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning in coordination with infrastructure and application teams
  • Implement and maintain observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and Elasticsearch/EFK stack
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to onboard workloads and optimize containerized application performance
  • Enforce platform security policies and ensure compliance with federal security standards using OCP RBAC, NetworkPolicies, and SCCs
  • Develop and maintain runbooks, post-incident reviews, and platform documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to continuous reliability improvement initiatives
  • US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or upstream Kubernetes in a production environment
  • Experience with Linux administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred)
  • Proficiency in container technologies (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes core concepts
  • Experience with Helm charts, Operators, and OpenShift-native tooling
  • Familiarity with SRE practices: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and blameless post-mortems
  • Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and incident escalation
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent certification
  • Experience in a federal government or FedRAMP environment
  • Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps methodology experience
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, OpenShift Service Mesh)
  • Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Tekton, or equivalent)
