Sign-On Bonus:

  • $2,500 for fully credentialed CDL-B w/ Passenger & Air Brake
  • $1,500 for non-credentialed candidates (CDL-B training provided)
About Us
Hours of Operation
Ventura County bus services operate 7 days a week from approximately 3:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
Driver schedules are awarded based on union seniority.
This posting is for part-time drivers, with the opportunity to transition into full-time as openings arise.
Pay & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $25.69 per hour (Union position)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for fully credentialed drivers; $1,500 for non-credentialed

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a front-line representative delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Safely operate buses in light to heavy traffic, including highways and local routes.
  • Transport passengers courteously according to assigned schedules and designated stops.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic and safety laws.
  • Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities, with boarding, securing mobility devices, and using the wheelchair lift when needed.
  • Promote safety awareness and follow all company and union safety procedures.
  • Operate onboard equipment including farebox, radio, wheelchair lift, emergency tools, and safety devices.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs in compliance with FMCSR requirements.
  • Communicate detours, incidents, or service issues to dispatch and follow instructions.
  • Make appropriate independent decisions using safety, training, and company policies.
  • Collect and document fares, count passengers, and complete required paperwork.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient transit operations.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must pass a DOT physical exam
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on seniority
  • Safe and responsible driving habits
