Job description

Job Overview

Primary responsibility of the Application Administrator is to provide system administration and support for Citadel’s banking applications. This includes Core Banking, CRM, Document Management, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Account Opening, and internally developed applications. They will ensure the availability and performance of applications exceed service standards, perform application upgrades, and participate on project teams to implement new solutions.

Responsibilities

Application Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain Citadel’s core banking applications.
  • Ensure application performance and availability.
  • Manage application upgrades and new releases.

Technical Support

  • Serve as primary point of contact for application-related issues.
  • Triage and resolve technical issues. Coordinate with internal IT resources and 3rd Party vendors when needed.

Documentation

  • Maintain formal documentation of all system configurations and technical processes.
  • Generate reports on application usage and trends.
  • Monitor and report on system performance.
  • Assist with regular application audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Development to integrate applications with other systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend application tools or enhancements as required.
  • Utilize Job Scheduler and RPA to automate manual processes. Configure jobs or bots to run automatically at set frequencies. Setup exception processing to alert when jobs/task do not start or finish as scheduled.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies with internal development, which includes writing User Stories based on business requirements and managing them to completion when applicable.
  • Configuration updates based on business requirements.
  • Participate on project teams when applicable.
  • Document resolutions to issues with supported systems/applications in the IT ticket system.
  • Escalate problems to management when appropriate.
  • Provide on call support to ensure system accessibility.
  • Participate in Departmental meetings.
  • Comply with Information Systems Security Policy.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • 3-5 years of previous managing Enterprise Applications as a System or Application Administrator, or a related role
    • Experience working in the financial industry, specifically credit union and jack henry banking technology.
    • Previous working experience with:
    • OpCon Job/task scheduler
    • Robotic Process Automation and building bots
    • Symitar
    • Jack Henry banking applications.
    • Terafina Account Opening
    • Proficiency with Enterprise Application Architecture and design.
    • Experience with SQL databases, and scripting (ie, PowerShell or Python)
    • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure

    Additional Skills/Notes

    • Strong customer service and analytical skills developed and applied in a technical environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
    • Ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively.
    • Ability to diagnose technical problems and develop effective solutions and determine root cause.
    • Previous working knowledge of financial institution standards and policies preferred
    • Previous experience working in a credit union or banking environment preferred

    Education

    • Two Year Associates degree in business or technical related field.
    • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or preferred equivalent work and education related experience preferred.
    • System/Application Certification preferred.
