Who are we looking for?

GHD North America is seeking a Lead - Onshore Wind to build capability in Canada and selected U.S. markets.
You will leverage early-phase studies-including environmental and permitting assessments, geotechnical investigations, and site feasibility analyses-as strategic entry points, then expand into Energy Systems Integration (ESI) and hybrid offerings with BESS, while providing owner's engineering and delivery support.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of duties and will see you involved in:

  •  Lead market strategy prioritizing environmental and frontend engineering engagements that integrate with BESS and T&D; coordinate with Clean Power leadership for bundled offerings.
  • Direct resource assessment, constraints mapping and micrositing; prepare layouts, specifications and CAPEX/OPEX inputs; review OEM tenders and thirdparty designs.
  • Undertake/oversee LCOE analyses and technoeconomic modelling. 
  • Build a multidisciplinary team; leverage Global Collaboration Centres to standardize deliverables and scale costcompetitively.

What you bring to the team:

  • 10-15+ years in onshore wind development/design/permitting with North American delivery experience in all aspects of windfarms including site development and servicing
  • Strong client network with developers, utilities and OEMs; proven capture of multiproject frameworks and owner's engineer roles.
  • Offshore wind experience and solar PV would be an asset

The successful candidate will also have to meet the following requirements:

  • Engineering or environmental degree; P.Eng./PE (or eligibility) preferred; bilingual English/French an asset.
  • Excellent crossdisciplinary coordination and communication skills; willingness to travel.

  • Deliver highquality frontend, owner's engineering and construction phase services; coordinate with BESS/T&D for hybrid and gridreadiness.
  • Mentor and grow talent; develop replicable tools, templates and playbooks that accelerate pursuit and delivery.
