MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Content team. A great candidate has experience building and executing social and influencer campaigns, leading creative ideation and strategy, and delivering excellent client service. Ideally this candidate has a strong sports background and keeps up with the sports landscape. This is a hybrid role to be based within commutable distance to our NYC or Charlotte, NC offices.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar, agency experience preferred. To be able to deliver this we need you to have the following attributes:

• Social media savvy, you have a pulse on what’s trending across the social, creator, and sports ecosystem.
• Engrained in culture and sports landscape, keep a pulse on news, trends, and key milestones.
• You know trending creators, what is happening in the sports conversation on social, and have an interest across a wide variety of sports/athletes.
• Experience writing decks, with an ability to develop and pitch a strategy in a way that is digestible for clients.
• Experience identifying creators and influencers for brand partnerships.
• Experience building social media and influener strategies.
• Experience leading brainstorms and translating ideas into strategic concepts for clients.
• Proactive with the ability to manage projects independently.
• Comfortable interfacing with clients and working with cross-functional teams, including creative and production.
• Ability to lead client calls, develop account POVs, confident providing real-time feedback and direction to clients.
• Ability to understand social analytics and turn data into actionable insights.
• Strong project‑management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Welcomes feedback as an opportunity to grow.

This role will report to the VP, Social and Influencer Marketing, helping to lead our end-to-end process, with a focus on social strategy development, editorial content development, influencer partnership execution, and reporting.

• Support team across content workstreams - from deck writing, concept ideation, briefing to campaign management, copywriting and reporting.
• Recommend effective talent for influencer partnerships and develop content ideas that support influencer strategies.
• Support drafting influencer contracts (along with the internal legal team), negotiate fees and manage the influencer relationship from contracting through campaign wrap-up.
• Work with team to manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met across social and influencer programs.
• Analyze social data and turn it into actionable insights as a key lead of our owned and influencer social reports.
• Partner with our sponsorship / consulting team to guide integrated social strategy and develop best practices.
• Inspire and drive innovative new social media approaches informed by current and emerging platforms / trends.
• Maintain strong awareness of the sports and marketing industry.
