Job description

The Sportsbook Writer is responsible for selling and cashing race and sportsbook tickets while providing excellent customer service and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Duties:

  • Sell and cash tickets; sell Racing Forms and collateral literature.

  • Ensure that wallboards and handouts are updated with current events, point spreads and odds.

  • Audit electronic wallboard for accuracy and proper function.

  • Ensure that TV monitors offer appropriate entertainment products.

  • Develop relationships with guests, meeting or exceeding Peppermill Guest Service Standards.

  • Monitor facility for cleanliness and supply inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to maintain a valid license with the Gaming Control Board.

  • Prior experience in cash-handling preferred.

  • Keyboard data entry skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
