What is online university teaching?

Online university teaching refers to the practice of delivering university-level courses and instruction through digital platforms, rather than in traditional, in-person classrooms. Professors and instructors use learning management systems, video conferencing tools, and other online resources to communicate with students, assign coursework, and facilitate discussions. This mode of teaching offers flexibility for both educators and students, allowing for remote participation and often asynchronous learning. Online university teaching requires strong digital communication skills, familiarity with educational technology, and effective time management.
