The Division of Communications and Advocacy (DCA) leads UN Women’s global communications, advocacy, brand, media, digital, partnerships and internal communications functions through a coherent and modern structure that works seamlessly across global, regional, country offices and National Committees. Through this work, DCA positions UN Women as the leading global voice and advocate for women’s rights, a unified and trusted global brand, and a partner of choice for governments, civil society, the private sector, and the broader UN system. The Internal Communications consultant works within DCA, reporting to the Editorial Manager leading the external editorial and internal communications portfolios. The consultant will work very closely withtheInternalCommunicationsAnalyst,supportingtheprovisionofinputstostrengtheninternalcommunications in UN Women, maintaining a range of strategic communications tools and products for UN Women, and for online and offline internal audiences in order to ensure that UN Women’s mission and vision, communication strategy, organizational outreach and knowledge management are effectively communicated to UN Women’s workforce.

Scope of Work:
  • Supportthe planning, drafting, obtaining clearances and posting of relevant and engaging internal news contentfromacrosstheorganizationontheintranethomepageandotherinternalplatforms,inlinewithUN Women’s internal communication priorities.
  • Assistinmaintaining,updatingandmonitoringUNWomen’sintranet,includingtheinternaleventscalendar.
