Job description

Overview
Reports to: Real Estate Loan Center Origination and Processing Supervisor
Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Answer real estate and mortgage loan related telephone inquiries, complete credit applications for real estate loans, and process appraisal orders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Answer all in-coming calls as necessary pertaining to real estate and mortgage lending issues.
  2. Maintain current in-depth knowledge of real estate and mortgage lending policies and guidelines.
  3. Obtain the information necessary to complete credit applications and related documentation.
  4. Direct members to appropriate individuals and schedule appointments for originators as necessary.
  5. Set up real estate applications files and input into the mortgage loan origination system.
  6. Assist with loan processing and posting tasks when directed by management.
  7. Order appraisal reports using the Appraisal Ordering System (AOS) to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding appraiser independence.
  8. Act as communication center between appraisers and origination staff. Make certain that all information provided is acceptable, and not in conflict with any regulation regarding appraiser independence.
  9. Track appraisal status and information within the Appraisal Ordering System to ensure current data is available to originations. Maintain communication with appraisers regarding progress and expectations. Follow up with the appraisers as necessary to confirm delivery dates and provide additional documentation as needed.
  10. Confirm and verify Loan in Process accounts in the Symitar system for appraisal billing.
  11. Cross-sell credit union services.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not applicable.
Experience/Skills: Six months prior experience in a service related position with this credit union with direct member contact preferred. One year similar experience in a service related field is acceptable. Must have a pleasant telephone voice; demonstrate a mastery of English speaking and comprehension skills; utilize sound listening skills; and communicate clearly. Familiarity with on-line data operations. Basic typing and 10-key touch calculator skills require. Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously.
Tenure: RE Loan Center Specialist II, Category 15, requires six months' tenure in the RE Loan Center Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. RE Loan Center Specialist III, Category 14, requires one year tenure in the RE Loan Center Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
Compensation
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.
Salary Pay Range: 16
$40,241 - $57,142 annually
