Description: Mathematics Instructor, Tenure Track, 9-Month Contract paid over 12 months. The position is expected to begin January, 2027.
Salary Range: $46,687 to $70,830 per AFT 1810 CBA Salary Schedule subject to terms and conditions of the upcoming negotiated contract; excellent benefits package, view here: Benefits At A Glance - Faculty
Position Summary: Teach and assess student learning outcomes in mathematics courses. Develop and promote the mathematics curriculum designed for both transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities and applied degree programs. In collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of IVCC's general education philosophy. Facilitate students learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college and community events, and assist with student recruitment.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics or closely related field including 18 graduate hours in mathematics from an accredited college/university required.
  • Ability to teach transfer level and developmental mathematics courses.
  • Teaching experience at the college level in Mathematics preferred, including familiarity with online courses.
  • Previous experience with Smart classroom technology is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.
