Key responsibilities
own features across the entire development process, from data model to user interface.
build and maintain internal tooling, infrastructure, and APIs to support robotics operations and data pipelines.
develop data-dense React and TypeScript interfaces for engineers and operators to visualize and work with telemetry and scan data.
Job description
Full Stack Developer / Go / React / TypeScript / Real Time Data
Location: Wallingford - Oxfordshire (Hybrid) onsite circa 1-2 days per month
Permanent
At Dexory, we are transforming the warehousing and logistics industry through data intelligence.
We're currently recruiting for a full stack developer to join our Platform Engineering team, the versatile group responsible for the internal tooling, infrastructure and special projects that power our robot fleet and data pipelines. You will own features across the whole path: the Go service that ingests telemetry from a robot scanning a warehouse in Ohio, and the interface a field engineer opens at two in the morning to work out why that robot stopped.
Offices based in Wallingford, Oxford and looking for someone who can do circa 1-2 days per month on site.
Any experience within robotics or start up / scale up environments highly desirable.
Please apply for more information.
Responsibilities / Skills
- End-to-end delivery: take features from data model through Go service to the interface, rather than handing off at a boundary.
- Internal tooling and infrastructure: build and maintain software systems and internal APIs that support our robotics operations and data processing pipelines.
- Interfaces for engineers and operators: build data-dense React and TypeScript interfaces that make large volumes of telemetry and scan data legible and fast to work with.
- Real-time data systems: work with WebRTC, WebSockets, gRPC and Zenoh to move live telemetry and video from robot to browser.
- Backend proficiency: hands-on experience building backend services in Go, or in a comparable statically typed language with real appetite to work in Go. Our services are written in Go and we expect you to be productive in it quickly.
- Front-end capability: solid React and TypeScript, comfortable building dense, interactive tools rather than only forms and content pages, and interested in why a view is slow rather than resigned to it.
Nice to have
- 3D, spatial or map-based interfaces: three.js, WebGL, deck.gl or Cesium.
- Robotics, IoT platforms or other hardware-adjacent software.
- Video streaming pipelines, or previous hands-on work with WebRTC.
- Messaging and serialisation middleware such as Protobuf, Zenoh or MQTT.
- Warehouse, logistics or supply chain systems.
Benefits
Starting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles:
- Performance: High standards, outstanding results,
- Impact: Big challenges, bigger results
- Commitment: All in, every time
- One team: One mission, shared success
Joining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition. We're crafting world-changing solutions, fuelled by a passion to redefine what's possible. We will look for you to help create and shape the future of logistics solutions through our products, our culture and our shared vision.
You will also receive:
- Private healthcare via Bupa with 24/7 medical helpline
- Life insurance
- Income protection
- Pension: 4+% employee with option to opt into salary exchange, 5% employer
- Employee Assistance Programme - mental wellbeing, financial and legal advice/support
- 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays
- Full meals onsite in Wallingford
- Fun team events on and offsite, snacks of all kinds in the office
