Job description

IT Software Procurement Analyst – SaaS & Licensing – State Agency – $30-34/hr W2 – Phoenix (4 Days Remote) – Contract-to-Hire

SunSoftOnline is hiring an IT Procurement Analyst specializing in Software & SaaS Management for an Arizona state agency's technology division, a 1-year contract-to-hire role (conversion to permanent state employment is the goal), with an exceptional schedule: 3-4 weeks of onsite training in Phoenix, then 4 days per week remote.

The hard requirement, on your resume by name: minimum 3 years of IT software procurement experience. Hardware-only or general (non-IT) procurement backgrounds were specifically not selected in this role's prior round, this position is about software.

The work (from the posting): overseeing a growing software portfolio, leading end-to-end software acquisitions, contract renewals, license optimization, and software vendor negotiations; evaluating IT vendors and contracts including RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs; researching and recommending supplier selections; supporting negotiations; and collaborating with IT, Legal, Finance, and InfoSec on cost-efficiency, compliance, and SaaS operations. The portfolio spans software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, hardware, telecommunications, and managed services, with software licensing and renewals as the core.

The facts: $30-34/hr W2 depending on experience · Monday-Friday days · Phoenix (1400 W Washington area) with 4-days-remote after training · 1-year contract-to-hire starting ~September 14 · eligible to convert to permanent FTE required: U.S. citizen or green card holder, no visa sponsorship possible · in-person interview within a week of the close · start within two weeks of offer · HireRight background check and drug screening · Phoenix metro residents only, city on resume.

Resume tip: the review matches your resume to the posting's language, if your experience genuinely includes software procurement, SaaS, license management, renewals, vendor negotiation, RFP/RFQ/RFI, ERP, those words belong on your resume where they truthfully happened.

Closes Tuesday, August 18.
