Heal Space Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. • Conduct remote counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families, ensuring client confidentiality at all times.
• Perform thorough assessments by utilizing standardized tools and discussing clients' histories to develop personalized treatment plans and set measurable outcomes.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients' emotional and mental health concerns effectively.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients in urgent need, using your skills to de-escalate situations and navigate to safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting progress notes and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
• Educate clients on mental health conditions and coping strategies to empower them in managing their mental health outside of sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of healthcare providers and community resources, enhancing the holistic care plan for clients.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities, staying informed about the latest trends and research in mental health to provide best-practice care.

Your work will primarily involve individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The clientele ranges from adolescents to adults, and many may be dealing with complex life circumstances, requiring a tailored approach to counseling that is empathetic and solution-focused.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida or the equivalent state of residency.
• Possession of at least a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field with at least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality counseling services remotely, including familiarity with various telehealth platforms and technologies.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients quickly.
• Commitment to ethical counseling practices, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all client interactions.
• Ability to work independently while also being an integral part of a collaborative remote team.

• Experience providing therapy in an online setting is preferred, as is familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and strategies.
• Knowledge of community mental health resources and the ability to connect clients with these resources when necessary.
• Demonstrated experience with treatment planning and measurable outcome tracking would be beneficial.
