The Placement Associate is responsible for supporting the execution of new and renewal business placements. This role focuses on reviewing submission materials for completeness and accuracy, assisting with quoting and analysis, coordinating carrier marketing, and supporting placement execution under the guidance of Placement Executives and Managers.

Responsibilities

Submission Review & Readiness

  • Review submissions for completeness, accuracy, and carrier readiness.
  • Identify missing or unclear information and coordinate with sales to resolve gaps.
  • Ensure submissions meet internal quality standards and carrier requirements.

Marketing & Quoting Support

  • Assist in marketing accounts to carriers in alignment with placement strategy.
  • Utilize carrier online rating platforms to support quoting.
  • Support pricing reviews, coverage comparisons, and basic analysis.
  • Track carrier responses and follow-ups.

Placement Execution & Workflow Coordination

  • Submit accounts to carriers once approved and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate status updates within Caffeine.
  • Support bind order preparation and placement documentation.

Systems & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records in agency management systems.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate professionally with sales, placement team members, carriers, & brokers.
  • Escalate coverage or market concerns as appropriate.
  • Perform other similar tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of commercial insurance placement experience preferred.
  • Current P&C Producer License preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of P&C insurance coverages preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Excel and other software applications.
  • Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
