E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist
Part-Time, Year-Round
Introduction:
Welcome to the cutting edge of history at George Washington's Mount Vernon! We're on the lookout for an E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist to join our team, where your logistical prowess will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless online shopping experience.
The E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for day-to-day fulfillment of online orders for the E-Commerce team within the Retail Department at George Washington's Mount Vernon.
Compensation:
$15.00-$18.00/hour, dependent on skills and experience
Expected Hours:
Hours for this position are 9:00-4:30, Monday through Wednesday.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
  • Process sales orders generated by the e-commerce website, in-store orders, phone orders, and inter-departmental orders
  • Handle returns and sales orders
  • Pick, pack, and ship all products, gift wrap products as requested, and process shipping labels for all products sold online
  • Packing and shipping of all distilled spirits in accordance with all local, state, and Federal regulations
  • Coordinate the processing and data entry of sales orders on Shopify and the outgoing daily UPS shipments using an integrated shipping platform
  • Assist with special events or other merchandising projects as needed, including annual inventory
  • Assist with annual inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous e-commerce, warehouse, or shipping experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other web-based e-commerce systems a plus
  • Multitasking and the ability to take initiative and function independently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment as well as independently to fulfill job duties
  • Flexible, dependable, and possessing a high level of integrity

  • Regularly required to stand and walk
  • Frequently required to sit
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
