Job description

Monitor Technician

The Monitor Technician is responsible for continuous observation of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to units and performs hook-up/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of completion in monitor technician course or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of acute care experience Monitor Tech.
  • Possess and maintains current certification in AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Must be well organized, able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and staff.

Pay / Benefits:

Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable). Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, optional supplemental life (employee, spouse, and/or child coverage), flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), 403b retirement with dollar for dollar match up to 5%, paid time off, and more available depending on employment status.
