Job description

Position:  Part-time Math Tutor for the 2026-2027 School Year
Location:  Boardman Center Intermediate School
License Requirement:  4-9 Math or 1-8 Elementary
Hours:  Determined by building principal, not to exceed 29 hours per week
Rate:  $22.00 per hour with a valid Teaching License
           $20.00 per hour with a valid Educational Aide Permit





Job Description: Center Intermediate School - Math Tutor
 

  1. Possess either the proper teaching license or an Educational Aide Permit. The applicant must have fulfilled the requirements defined by the Ohio state licensure for grade band, student population, and subject content.
  2. Provide one-on-one and small group reading instruction to intermediate school students, focusing on comprehension, fluency, and/or vocabulary development based on district decision rules.
  3. Assess student reading levels and progress using standardized tools; adapt instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  4. Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to align reading interventions with classroom curriculum and student learning goals.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents / guardians on students progress.
