Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Cardiac position requiring 2 years of experience and AL or compact RN licensure.

Details
  • 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit focused on cardiac telemetry care
  • 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Cares for predominately cardiac patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and arrhythmias
  • Also treats medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke, and surgical patients
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
  • Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
  • Active RN license, State of Alabama or compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
  • AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
  • Associate degree in nursing required
  • 2 years of experience required; will consider 18 months with 1 year of recent experience in specialty
  • NURSYS license verification required
Additional Information
  • Provide patient-centered nursing care to support cardiac and medical/surgical patient recovery
  • Work alongside a dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff
  • Holiday coverage required for every holiday
  • Solid navy scrub color dress code
