American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Cardiac position requiring 2 years of experience and AL or compact RN licensure.
Details- 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit focused on cardiac telemetry care
- 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Cares for predominately cardiac patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and arrhythmias
- Also treats medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke, and surgical patients
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
- Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Active RN license, State of Alabama or compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
- AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
- Associate degree in nursing required
- 2 years of experience required; will consider 18 months with 1 year of recent experience in specialty
- NURSYS license verification required
- Provide patient-centered nursing care to support cardiac and medical/surgical patient recovery
- Work alongside a dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff
- Holiday coverage required for every holiday
