Our Power Quality Solutions business is a leader in uninterruptible power supply and power conversion technologies for mission-critical applications worldwide.

Job Summary:

The Senior Engineering Manager leads a multidisciplinary team focused on the development of advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and power electronic systems. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end product development-from concept through production and lifecycle support-while ensuring alignment with established engineering strategies and product roadmaps.

This leader combines strong technical expertise with people leadership to execute programs that meet cost, performance, reliability, and schedule objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on engineering leader with deep power electronics experience who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and develop a team across hardware, firmware, and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Execute engineering plans aligned with broader business goals and product roadmaps.
  • Support the development and implementation of scalable, maintainable product architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance on system design, topology selection, and key component decisions.
  • Coach and mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and high performance.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Manage full lifecycle development of UPS and power conversion systems.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meeting cost targets.
  • Apply best practices in design for manufacturability (DFM), reliability, and quality.
  • Drive system-level optimization for performance, efficiency, and power density.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Contribute to hardware and firmware design, including:
  • AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC power conversion
  • Control systems (PI/PID, feedforward)
  • EMI/EMC design and mitigation
  • Battery integration (Li-ion, Lead Acid)
  • Utilize tools such as MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and validation.
  • Support innovation efforts, including modular designs and efficiency improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to support product execution.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with global teams and external partners to ensure program success.
  • Support product sustaining activities including failure analysis, root cause investigation, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure smooth transition from development to production and ongoing lifecycle support.
  • Support compliance with safety, UL, EMC, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and certification activities.
  • Manage project-level budgets and resource allocation.
  • Provide regular project updates, including risks and mitigation plans, to leadership.
  • Act as a technical interface for internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and external design partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in power electronics design and high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex products.
  • Technical expertise in:
    • UPS systems (line-interactive, online/double conversion)
    • EMI/EMC design and compliance
    • AC-DC (PFC), DC-DC, and DC-AC systems
    • Control loop design and stability
    • Hardware, firmware, and system integration
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as CAD and MATLAB/Simulink.

Desired Qualifications:
