At Mathnasium - A Math only Learning center, we’re passionate about both our students and our employees! We are located at 5450 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights. CA 

Note: This position is not intended for summer-only applicants. Our Instruction hours are Monday to Thursday 3 PM to 7 PM looking for candidates with maximum availability

Job Responsibilities:

  • An outgoing instructor who can engage students do Math for 60 to 90 min.
  • Teach/tutor in-center, online(from center), and/or via hybrid delivery(from center) using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting for a max of 5 students
  • Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
  • Assist in non-teaching tasks, which include cleaning, vaccuming, bathroom and administrative assistance, curriculum preparation, or other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A major in math is preferred
  • Exceptional math competency through Pre-Calculus and Calculus
  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
  • All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: upto 4 hour per day shift • Sunday through Thursday • Year round work

Work setting: In-person

Expected hours: anywhere from 4 hours - 20 hours per week
