Position Overview Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Middle School Math Support Tutor to lead students academically and spiritually. The responsibilities for this position will include Middle School advanced math assistance through tutoring and/or independent studies guidance.

Courses may include Pre-Algebra, Geometry and Algebra. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction, integrate biblical truth throughout the curriculum, and partner closely with families to support student growth. Salary Range: $35.00/hour Responsibilities Create a safe and respectful learning environment which enhances the well-being of each student and inspires them strengthen and develop their advanced math skills

Integrate Scripture, prayer, and biblical worldview into daily learning. Utilize different strategies to meet students' skill levels, learning styles, and social/emotional needs. Develop programs that encourage leadership, problem-solving, and team building.

Work closely with other classrooms and colleagues in cooperative efforts. Facilitate the development or revision of curriculum and instructional materials. Effectively communicate with colleagues, and parents/guardians to maintain an open, positive relationship.

Participate in professional development activities, such as college course work, workshops, professional associations, and in-service opportunities. Attend all required staff meetings and other activities deemed necessary as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Perform other duties as assigned.
