Description

The Direct Support Supervisor (DSS) reports to the Company Executives and the Waiver Services Director. The DSS assists in overseeing clients and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) participating in the Waiver Program through the Arkansas Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS).

The DSS collaborates closely with all departments-including Billing, Payroll, Quality Assurance (Q/A), and Human Resources (HR)-to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency within the program. The DSS maintains compliance with all applicable DDS policies and procedures and serves as an integral member of the Myers-Davis team in achieving the organization's overall goals and objectives.


This is a hybrid position with the following schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm


Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process referrals from care coordinators for new Waiver clients
  • Develop service schedules for new referrals
  • Prepare and maintain accurate client files, including timely submission of new consumer documentation
  • Attend required quarterly trainings (virtual or in person)
  • Travel to meet with staff, clients, and families, and attend mandatory meetings
  • Ensure the health and safety of Waiver recipients
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to resolve compliance issues
  • Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Partner with Human Resources (HR) to complete new hire processes and required DSP training
  • Generate accurate billing and payroll data in a timely manner
  • Support clients, families, and employees with program-related needs
  • Provide guidance and resources to assist in implementing client goal plans
  • Conduct annual meetings with assigned clients and submit updated documentation
  • Complete and submit Quarterly Consumer Contact Reports on time

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Relevant work experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, reading, writing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret documents and instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications
  • Professional presentation and conduct, including punctuality, confidentiality, and respect for others
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team member
