Job description

  • The primary responsibility is to teach in-person courses at the level of first-semester calculus and below, as needed by the department. For this academic year, the work will be focused on Math 100, which is a preparatory class for college-level math, and Math 391, which is a training course for undergraduate learning assistants.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants working with Math 100.
  • Instructors are also expected to participate in various departmental activities, such as tutoring and mentoring programs. Full-time appointments usually require teaching 12 credit hours each semester.
  • Additional responsibilities include attendance at all appropriate course meetings and related professional development sessions.
