Job description

Description
The Division of Mathematics and Science is currently accepting applications for adjunct instructors for Maryland Blueprint course sections that may be potentially offered at WCPS in the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be current WCPS high school teachers. Applications will be accepted for candidates who demonstrate the ability or specific credentials to teach in the following area(s) or discipline(s) for courses that may or may not potentially be offered:
  • Mathematics
    • Quantitative Reasoning
    • Statistics
    • Pre-Calculus with related College Algebra and Trigonometry functions
  • Science (including laboratory-based exercises and applications)
    • Anatomy and Physiology
    • Biotechnology/Forensic Science
    • Environmental Science
    • General Physical Science/Physics

Instructors will work with division directors and the full-time faculty to deliver the same course-specific instructional content that is taught at the main campus or online. Course-Specific common assignments for student learning outcome assessments and grading are also required.
Requirements
APPLICANTS MUST BE CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
EDUCATION: To be considered, all applicants must meet the minimum standard for each program set forth in the Adjunct Faculty Minimum Credentials document.
