Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Math Content Support Teacher is a certified educator who supports the Mathematics Department by providing customized instruction, timely assessment and feedback, student mentoring, and tutoring, as well as supporting department efforts in resource development and course revision. This position works collaboratively with the Teaching and Learning Team to improve student achievement while supporting customized, student-centered, growth and mastery learning across the department. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics endorsement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
  • Commitment to customized, student-centered, growth and mastery learning.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with online, blended, alternative, or competency-based education preferred.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide customized instruction and tutoring for students requiring additional support.
  • Maintain a mentoring caseload of approximately 45 students.
  • Assess student work and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with staff to implement appropriate interventions.
  • Support curriculum development, course revisions, assessments, and instructional resources.
  • Collaborate with the Mathematics Department to strengthen instructional quality and consistency.
  • Participate in department meetings, professional learning, and school improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
