Description
We are accepting applications for individuals to teach our Safety Management course.
Pay will vary by course being taught.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related Business field.
  2. Five years of industry experience in Human Resources, Safety or Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's Degree in Human Resources or related Business field.
  2. Teaching experience within higher education, utilizing traditional, accelerated, hybrid and/or online delivery.
  3. Professional experience directly or indirectly related to workplace safety, safety management, occupational health, environmental health and safety (EHS), OSHA regulatory compliance, or human resources management with demonstrated responsibilities for workplace safety, employee safety training, OSHA compliance, or other related safety functions.

The course meets 10/21/26-12/09/26, Wednesdays 6-8:50pm through ZOOM and asynchronous in Summer. We are looking for an instructor to teach both sections (Fall and Summer).
