Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students both online and in person or college in the following subject areas:
  • Calculus 1 and 2
  • Statistics
  • Physics (classical mechanics and electricity/magnetism)
  • General chemistry 1 and 2
  • Organic chemistry 1 and 2
  • Applicants capable of tutoring physics, calculus 1 and 2, and/or organic chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Preference will be given to applicants capable of tutoring additional subjects and age levels
- Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
- Must be able to commute within the Broward county, FL area. Applicants who are not available for in person work will not be considered
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback in session reports to admin, parents/guardians, and teachers
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
- Reliably commute from client to client
Qualifications
-At least 2 years of high school and/or college tutoring experience
- Previous experience working with students, preferably in a high school and/or college setting
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
