Position Summary
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-leading faculty position in the division of Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Breast Pathology. The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills in breast pathology and will have the opportunity to participate in another subspecialty. Educational opportunities include teaching within the medical school and within an ACGME-accredited AP/CP residency program. Opportunities for developing research projects are available. Candidates interested in developing a funded research program are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree, and they should be certified or eligible for certification in AP or AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology. Fellowship training in breast pathology and/or surgical pathology is preferred. The department is a rapidly growing academic subspeciality-based practice with highly competitive compensation and opportunities for administrative responsibilities.
