Purchasing Expeditor


Since 1983, HTI Cybernetics has provided intelligent manufacturing solutions that support and enhance

production, including automation systems, material handling solutions, assembly tooling, and collaborative

robotics.


Primary Responsibilities Purchasing Expeditor:

  • Maintain the movement of materials from vendors, and suppliers or between departments
  • Assist the Purchasing team to help ensure on-time product delivery to the customer
  • Confirm new purchase orders are received and expedite with suppliers and confirm or request delivery

  • Monitor and follow-up on material purchases and shop supplies
  • Log and track all purchase order shipments
  • Data entry and maintenance of Open Material Spreadsheet
  • Ensure that customer purchase order information matches the shipment, including quantity and quality
  • of materials. Resolve any inconsistencies in the orders
  • Ensure that the required goods and materials arrive at the appointed date in the agreed quality at the
  • agreed location
  • Responsible for coordinating returns of non-conforming goods or materials
  • Responsible for maintaining Purchasing ISO compliance
  • Back-up for issuing purchase orders
  • Administrative tasks as needed; scanning, filing and data entry

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with some overtime hours

Requirements

  • 1 + year related experience in distribution, inventory, administrative and/or purchasing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and Outlook; ability to become proficient in company integrated systems such as Visual Accounting and Manufacturing software
  • Strong attention to detail in processing highly specified product orders
  • Knowledge of parts and materials used in production, experience with Bills of Materials is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent requiredย 
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization as necessary
  • Ability to shift and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain organized and on top of scheduled shipments and production goals
  • Strong data analysis and math skills
