Location: Indianapolis, IN (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months 
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $23.17/hour (W2)
Interview Process: Phone Interview + In-Person Interview

Position Overview
The Indiana Department of Correction is seeking Data Collection Administrative Staff to support the Sex and Violent Offender Registration and Victim Services Division. This position is responsible for researching, collecting, analyzing, and entering sensitive criminal justice information while working closely with law enforcement agencies and court systems.
Key Responsibilities
Research and collect court and criminal justice documents.
Analyze and interpret legal and court records.
Communicate with local and state law enforcement agencies.
Enter and maintain accurate data in web-based portals and database systems.
Review and process sensitive criminal history information.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with departmental policies.
Perform additional administrative and data-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required (equivalent work experience may be considered).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
Experience with data collection and data entry.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code.
Familiarity with the criminal justice system and Department of Correction operations.
Experience reviewing court documents and legal terminology.
Experience researching criminal history records, including:
Triple I reports
Probable Cause Affidavits
Conviction and Sentencing Documents
Presentence Investigation Reports
Court Orders
Research experience.
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex assignments.
Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
