Position Information
Job Title Adjunct Faculty - Clinical Mental Health Counseling Position Purpose
The adjunct faculty will provide remote asynchronous and synchronous instruction to master's-level counseling trainees in courses such as Introduction to Counseling, Counseling Theories and Techniques, Professional Ethics, Skills in Helping Relationships, and others as they become available. Provide education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning, diversity and ethics as well as personal and professional development
Essential Duties Summary
Perform faculty duties as outlined by the New England College Faculty Handbook;
Create a safe and supportive learning environment for students;
Provide course instruction as aligned with NEC Clinical Mental Health Counseling program expectations;
Manage the learning environment through keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies consistent with NEC;
Report to Program Director.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (completed or in process), preferably from a CACREP-accredited program;
Previous experience in supervising master's-level counseling trainees;
Experience with in-person, online, and hybrid teaching modalities;
Active clinical credentials;
Identified pedagogical style and record of strong teaching evaluations;
Dedication to social justice and equity for marginalized communities, especially CMHC students served by the program.
