They assess learning outcomes and their teaching effectiveness, adhere to ethical standards (e.g., NEA, State of Michigan), and maintain licensure. Responsibilities include professional development, curriculum development, collegial responsibilities, communication, safety, and teaching in political science, following course objectives and content. Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree in Political Science, Government, Comparative Politics, or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in Political Science.
  • Understanding of and commitment to community college teaching mission and philosophy.
  • Innovative, flexible, and positive teaching style suitable for diverse backgrounds.
  • Language skills: reading, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting information effectively.
  • Mathematical skills: applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and basic statistical concepts.
  • Reasoning ability: solving practical problems and interpreting instructions.
  • Technology skills: integrating computer applications into teaching.
