190-day position
Salary: $21,874 base salary (based on education and
teacher assistant experience)

*A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work

Qualifications:
Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education
or
An associate degree (or higher)
OR
Item (1) High School Diploma or the equivalent
AND
Item (2) Ready to Work Credentials
* WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment - minimum of Silver: Level 4 or
higher
or
* Work Keys - Copy of passing scores on three areas of Work
Keys Assessment Applied Mathematics (4),
Reading for Information (4), Writing (4)
or
* ParaPro - Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro,

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide classroom teaching assistance
  • Provide supervision of students at all times
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Provide students with daily care (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required
  • Adhere to district dress code policies
  • Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
  • Positively supports all facets of student growth and development
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
  • Support student aquisition of voactional skills at the internship site
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Hospital Setting Requirements:
In addition to the qualifications outlined in this job description, the selected candidate must satisfy all employment requirements
established by the hospital. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, required background checks, health screenings,
clearances, and other hospital-specific conditions of employment.
