Job description

The School of Mathematics & Sciences at the University of Tennessee Southern has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach various Math and Sciences courses. The position's principal responsibility is teaching. Further, the position is responsible for demonstrating academic competence in the appropriate subject matter area. Areas of potential need: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
 

Requirements:
Graduate courses: Doctoral Degree in the course discipline or closely related area.
Undergraduate courses: Master's degree in qualifying discipline, or Master's degree 
with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of qualifying disciplines.
Experience teaching at the university level preferred.
Three letters of recommendation.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled. A 
complete application consists of a letter addressing the qualifications cited above; curriculum 
vitae; official transcripts; and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of 
at least three professional references. Other documentation may be requested.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teach undergraduate courses in the School of Math & Sciences
2. Must be willing to teach at times and locations that best suits the needs of students and the School of Math & Sciences. Times may include day, evening or online.
