Schedule: Three-day workweeks. Rotating Saturdays

What You'll Do
  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs and perform in-house laboratory testing.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs while maintaining accurate procedural records.
  • Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to support patient safety and comfort.
  • Educate clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and thoroughly document patient care and communication.
  • Keep treatment areas clean, stocked, organized, and compliant with infection-control protocols.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient, positive hospital workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional-development opportunities.

What You'll Bring
  • Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience.
  • Safe and effective patient-handling and restraint skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive care and vaccine protocols.
  • Experience with surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring.
