We are looking for an experienced, energetic and compassionate individual who is knowledgeable and competent performing essential skills associated with outpatient and inpatient procedures as it relates to authorized scope of practice.  The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, accurate data entry abilities, and experience with handling and restraint.  Because we are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and outstanding client service, we need someone who consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion and teamwork.

JOB EXPECTATIONS
·         Be punctual.
·         Be familiar with and follow established policies and procedures.
·         Be able to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in all domains of veterinary nursing within approved scope of practice.

·         Be a competent multi-tasker, organizer and understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

·         Be familiar with practice management software.
·         Be knowledgeable with Word and Excel and know how to maintain accurate medical records.
·         Be able to emulate the practice’s objective of exceeding patient care and client service expectations.
·         Be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and patients for whom the practice provides boarding and veterinary services.
·         Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Veterinary Assistant (preferred)
A minimum of 1-year experience (preferred)
AA/AS degree (preferred)
Fear Free Certification (required)
