At MUSC, our Histotechnologist are essential partners in diagnostic excellence. Join a high-energy, collaborative laboratory team delivering critical results in a top-tier hospital setting .

đ§ What Youâll Do
âą Process a wide range of histologic specimens: grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining (including special stains & immunohistochemistry), and frozen sections Â
âą Produce high-quality slides and perform quality control to ensure accurate pathology reviews
âą Troubleshoot issues that could affect diagnostic outcomes
âą Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on lab equipment
âą Adhere to universal safety procedures and lab protocols
âą Rotate on-call nights and weekends (8âŻAMâ9âŻPM) to support laboratory needs
Additional Job Description
đ Qualifications & Essentials
âą Bachelorâs degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related scientific field
âą HTL(ASCP) certification (or equivalent) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification , If not certified, must have completed a NACCLS Accredited HT/HTL Program and be certification eligible, certification must be achieved within 1 year of hire, until certification achieved salary will be 10% less.
