Summary:
As a Broadcast Field Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for executing integration into broadcaster remote productions, leagues, teams, and venues. In this role, you will interact with league, production, and venue personnel to ensure our systems and workflow are deployed to company and client standards. This position requires travel to various event locations and will be based out of our Pittsburgh office.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and preparation of equipment for events.
  • Collaborate with on-site production team to ensure clear direction before
  • installation.
  • Install/Integrate Servers/Cameras/Workspace/Cabling, ensuring excellence in
  • execution and delivery.
  • Lead and direct onsite field personnel.
  • Operate immersive live PTZ and replay systems for demos, special events,
  • league, and broadcaster events.
  • Provide feedback and work with software engineers on product development.
  • Evaluate software/hardware and new processes.
  • Train new operators/techs in field and Pittsburgh/LA offices
  • On-call support for operators/techs in the field during set and game days.
  • Fifty percent Travel required mainly during fall winter sports seasons.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field broadcast operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of broadcast technologies and their application in live
  • events.
  • Strong knowledge in broadcast signal flow and venue infrastructure
  • Experience with live on-air comms with director/producers a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, adapting to dynamic field
  • environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to address challenges
  • effectively.
  • Trusted to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements
