Description:

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for performing various maintenance and custodial functions in the Del Rio Clinic Sites consistent with the various mandated infection control, chemical, and safety regulations. Responsible for performing Custodian-Floors responsibilities as assigned. Works closely and with the Safety Director to assure security throughout the clinic sites. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting the Medical Center, such as State/Federal regulations, TJC, DSHS, HRSA standards and Compliance Standards. Requirements:

Education:

1. Minimum grammar school or equivalent with the ability to read and write English and follow instructions.

2. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience/Training:

1. Six (6) months or more experience in building/custodial and housekeeping work required.

2. Basic knowledge in plumbing, painting, minor repairs, air condition and Systems preferred.

3. Experience in floors (buffing, stripping, waxing, etc.) preferred.

Specific Demands:

1. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

2. Ability to communicate proficiently with individuals of diverse backgrounds and economic levels.

3. An insured personal vehicle to travel to other clinics (etc.) when necessary.

4. Good driving record.

5. Able to meet on -call/stand-by requirements as needed.

Physical Demands:

1. Significant amount of time spent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

2. Exposed to inclement weather.
