ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Tele (Nights)

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week, including 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg/Tele unit with 40 beds. The ideal candidate must have flexibility to accommodate the facility's schedule, with the possibility of block booking, though it is not guaranteed. Floating to other units may be required, and candidates must be willing to work in a charge nurse capacity if needed. Highland will provide training if necessary, and applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg/Tele unit.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC charting system.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assist with patient education and support for families.
Required Experience and Certifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
  • 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
  • Active New York RN license.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
