Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Nights

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments, plan interventions, implement care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Coordinate care among healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Address the cognitive and psychosocial needs of diverse patient populations across a wide range of disease processes.
  • Involve family members in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Must have 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
  • NV RN license required prior to start.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
