Job description

Tax Advisor (CPA)

Job Type: Contractor (Part Time)
Location: Remote (US Only)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced CPAs and Tax Advisors to support a project focused on tax preparation, advisory, and AI evaluation.

You will apply your tax expertise to prepare and review tax returns, assess AI-generated tax content, and develop evaluation criteria that improve the accuracy and reliability of next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review Form 1040, Schedule C, 1120-S, and 1065 tax returns.
  • Provide tax guidance and explain complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Review AI-generated tax advice against defined rubrics and scoring criteria.
  • Verify tax documentation, filing requirements, deadlines, and applicable forms.
  • Develop and refine tax-related evaluation rubrics and grading standards.
  • Stay current with federal and applicable state tax laws.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active CPA license in good standing with U.S. practice eligibility.
  • 5+ years of professional tax preparation or advisory experience.
  • Strong experience with personal and small business tax returns.
  • Knowledge of current federal tax regulations and at least one state's income tax requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated content or providing structured feedback is a plus.
  • Experience developing rubrics or assessment criteria is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake, or similar tax software is a plus.
