Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of fusion splicing experience
- Previous experience fiber management software such as Arc GIS, OSP insight, 3 GIS, or CircuitVision
- Degree in GIS or FOT certification
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 2+ years installing/troubleshooting/designing Fiber Optic and Ethernet Physical transport in a service provider environment.
- 1+ years testing QCing and delivering high speed telecom services using test units such as OTDR, Fusion Splicer, Power Meter, and other Fiber Optic test Sets.
- 1+ years directly managing inside and outside plant construction projects, capital budgets, and contractors.
- Proficiency using mapping and fiber management software i.e. Arc GIS, 3-GIS, QGIS, Google Earth, CircuitVision
- Proficiency using Microsoft WORD & Excel, Visio and CAD software
- Availability to perform on-call work as prescribed to include after-hours (nights and weekends) call outs.
- Self-motivated and the ability to make independent decisions based on policies, practices & project requirements.
