Job description

We are seeking a full-time Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join a hospital-based practice at Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This role offers a highly collaborative environment and the opportunity to work at a state-of-the-art facility, allowing you to focus on comprehensive pathology work while working alongside an experienced care team.

  • Volume: Manage daily mixed caseload of 30–35 specimens
  • Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based
  • Support / Care Team: Certified Pathologist Assistant for grossing; multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examination and evaluation of surgical pathology specimens.
  • Independently perform frozen sections and assess specimen adequacy for cytology.
  • Manage a daily mixed caseload of 30–35 specimens, including:
    • Breast (core biopsies and excisions)
    • Thoracic pathology
    • Non-neoplastic and limited neoplastic GYN.
    • GU, GI, Neuro, limited Head & Neck
    • Limited Hematopathology
    • Cytology: thyroid, lung EBUS, GI EBUS
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.
  • Participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (three times per month).
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
  • Fellowship training in general or subspecialty anatomic pathology required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Active Florida medical license required.
  • No autopsy responsibilities.
