Job Summary
As a Station Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the station, ensuring optimal use of resources, equipment, and personnel. You will collaborate with airport management, upper-level executives, and subordinate staff to create efficient operational and administrative procedures. You will liaise with airline customers to deliver their KPM objectives in a safe and secure manner. Key tasks include reviewing financials, enforcing compliance with safety regulations, and recommending improvements for efficiency and service. Additionally, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security of operations in line with TSA legislation, handling complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  • Collaborate with airport management to maintain seamless station operations.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate operational personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement administrative and operational policies in partnership with upper management.
  • Monitor and analyze operational and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and profit growth.
  • Prepare and present recommendations for operational and capital improvements to upper management.
  • Recommend capital expenditures for new equipment to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security programs, safety rules, TSA legislation, and other governmental regulations.
  • Conduct audits to maintain continuous compliance with corporate policies and safety standards.
  • Review and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan, ensuring proper identification and compliance for all personnel.
  • Investigate and address internal and external complaints related to station operations.
  • Oversee contract negotiations with suppliers for equipment and materials.
  • Complete all internal and external training on time and monitor station staff to ensure the same.
  • Meet airline customer KPM objectives.
  • Implement and maintain a station management system, ensuring safety, security, quality, and employee satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, with experience in implementing operational policies
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reports, and expenditure management
  • Familiarity with TSA regulations, airport security requirements, and governmental safety regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and make strategic recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with station management systems and operational software
  • Strong understanding of safety, security, and compliance standards in aviation or logistics
  • Ability to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
  • Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
