Job description

Operation Blessing: Hunger Strike Force – Grand Prairie, TX

Operation Blessing (OB) is dedicated to demonstrating God’s love by alleviating human suffering in the United States and around the world. OB is seeking an On-Call Truck Driver to work with Hunger Strike Force to transport product to and from assigned local pick-up and delivery locations. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Ability to perform FMCSA compliant vehicle inspections and accurately complete DVIRs
  • Ability to handle stress, and meet deadlines and time demands
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective rapport with OB donors, ministries and dispatch staff
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, push/pull, stoop, and lift 50+ lbs
  • Prefer Class “A” or Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License, but not required
  • Able to safely navigate roads in a 26 foot box truck
  • Prefer 2 years local driving experience or eligible military experience
  • No DMV chargeable offenses for most recent 3-years prior to employment with OB
  • Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB’s nonprofit Christian mission
